Man died shortly after disembarking from van
A 46-year-old man fell ill and died shortly after getting out of a van in Palmas. The victim’s aunt told the Military Police that he had cardiopathy – a heart problem – and had traveled to undergo heart surgery in the capital.
The case was registered on Monday afternoon (25), around 6:30 pm, on the banks of TO-050 in the urban perimeter of Palmas. There was already a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) at the scene who confirmed the man’s death.
An aunt of the man told the PM that he had left Redenção, in the southeast of Pará, heading to Palmas precisely to undergo a heart surgery procedure.
Upon arriving in Palmas, he allegedly contacted his aunt on his cell phone saying that he had arrived, but did not know where he was. The aunt asked for the location and he didn’t respond anymore. Then the woman received a call from SAMU informing her that her nephew had died.
The case was registered by the PM as a natural death. After the appropriate procedures, the body was taken to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) to confirm the causes of death.
