National Theater Day: Train brings several theatrical performances to Mato Grosso do Sul | News from Campo Grande and MS

The Cultural Comitiva – Teatro em Boio por Mato Grosso do Sul project brings a varied program, with presentations, seminar and procession. Next Wednesday (27), on National Theater Day, the seminar “Language, Aesthetics, Sustainability” will be held in Campo Grande, followed by the presentation of the show “Os Corcundas”, with circus do Mato.

In the Capital, the presentation will be at the headquarters of Teatral Grupo de Risco, starting at 6pm. With all free activities.

The project aims to decentralize theatrical production, taking performances to different cities in the state. Among them, Camapuã, Paraíso das Águas, Selvíria, Inocência, Laguna Carapã and Caarapó.

In total, there are seven invited theater groups: Circo do Mato, Flor e Espinho, Florescer do Cerrado, Fulano Di Tal, Identidade Cultural, Imaginário Maracangalha and Teatral Grupo de Risco. Each group participates in two different shows from their repertoire, in a total of 14 shows of the most varied themes and styles.

For Fernanda Kunzler, producer of the project, municipalities were selected from different regions of Mato Grosso do Sul, which have almost no access to cultural production. “We chose seven cities, which are rarely visited by artists from Mato Grosso do Sul. They are located on Rota Norte, Costa Leste, Caminho dos Ipês and Caminhos da Fronteira. We are sure that a good part of the public will be watching a theater show for the first time”, comments Fernanda Kunzler.
