The action is part of the investigation into the kidnapping of a businessman from Rio Grande do Norte who was in Mato Grosso trading animal feed. According to information, the suspect would have received around R$40,000 in his current account as a result of the crime that occurred on December 4 last year.

According to investigations, the businessman from Rio Grande do Norte was held in prison by criminals while negotiating animal feed in Mato Grosso. One of the perpetrators of the crime was arrested red-handed on the day of the events. After a more detailed analysis, it was discovered that an individual residing in Acre had received the amounts obtained through serious threat and made several transfers to third parties.

After searching the suspect’s property, he was questioned by authorities and will be charged by the Mato Grosso Civil Police for his participation in the crime. Investigations remain ongoing to clarify all the details and identify other possible parties involved in the case.

Collaboration between Civil Police units demonstrates the importance of interstate cooperation in solving complex crimes, such as the kidnapping of businesspeople. The joint work of authorities from different states is essential to guarantee justice and the safety of the population.
