Paraná incorporated, today (Thursday, 25), 419 new professionals for the structure of the Fire Department. It is the biggest hiring of the last decade, and the first after the approval of the corporation’s autonomy, last year.
This change transferred the corporation’s human resources management activities, acquisition of materials and equipment. The entire staff of firefighters, which was linked to the Military Police, moved to its own structure.
Governor Ratinho Junior accompanied the graduation, at Palácio Iguaçu, and stated that the Fire Department of Paraná has great recognition.
The State still has a new competition planned, for the hiring of another 130 firefighters. Along with the 419 new hires, the total workforce will exceed 3,300 professionals. According to the Secretary of State for Public Security, Hudson Teixeira, 47 women and 68 black people are among the graduates.
According to the General Commander of the Fire Department, Colonel Vasco de Figueiredo Junior, the new phase represents yet another recognition of the actions carried out daily by professionals.
The new hires underwent 1,500 hours of training over nine months. In addition to firefighting, the activities involved pre-hospital care and search, rescue and rescue in different situations.
From now on, firefighters will work throughout the state, divided into 18 barracks in 15 cities: Apucarana, Cianorte, Colombo, Curitiba, Francisco Beltrão, Guarapuava, Ivaiporã, Maringá, Londrina, Paranavaí, Pato Branco, Ponta Grossa, Santo Antônio da Platina, São José dos Pinhais and Umuarama.
