An accident between a chartered bus and a trailer left two dead and 42 injured on BR-153, in Canápolis (MG), this Thursday (22). The vehicle left Rio Quente (GO) and headed for Cornélio Procópio, in the north of Paraná.

According to the concessionaire that manages the highway, Triunfo Concebra, 20 victims suffered minor injuries and two are in a serious condition. Both were referred to Hospital São Marcos de Itumbiara (GO).

One of the serious victims suffered a fracture in the lower limb and another is hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with head trauma.

The bus collided with the back of the truck, causing the accident, says the dealership. The lane has now been cleared and the truck has been removed from the scene.

According to the company Garcia, responsible for the bus, it was chartered in Cornélio Procópio. The passengers went to Rio Quente, and on the way back, suffered the accident.

There is still no identification of the people who died. There is also no further information about the victims at the time of writing this article.
