Resources were transferred to the City Halls of Araguacema, Centenário and Sucupira

This week, the Government of Tocantins made transfers relating to investments in sports infrastructure for the municipalities of Araguacema, Centenário and Sucupira. The total amount transferred by the State Secretariat for Sports and Youth (Seju) to the city halls was R$ 1,244,397.30, which corresponds to the installments of the Program to Strengthen the Economy and Generation of Employment.

Sucupira City Hall received a transfer of R$ 666,667.00. The resources refer to the third installment of the Tocantins Government program, intended for the construction of the Municipal Sports and Leisure Complex. The work, which is already 68.51% complete, will feature a covered court, field society, sand court, walking track and changing rooms. The forecast is that the aforementioned sports square will eventually have 8,226.8m² of built area.

The Sucupira Municipal Sports and Leisure Complex will benefit young athletes such as Murilo Henrique Dantas, 24 years old. “The work will help young people, people to leave their homes. Now the population will have another leisure space. Everything that comes to the citizen is welcome and will help the elderly, children and youth”, highlighted the sportsman and businessman.

Centenário City Hall received the second installment of the program, in the order of R$222,567.71. The resource refers to the construction of the municipal football stadium. The work will benefit the community and athletes in the region. “We have been working with sports for 15 years, with futsal and we see that the field will provide an opportunity to expand our project, where we can also work with football. I have always dreamed of this type of project being developed in our city and the completion of a project like this will intrigue children and teenagers in sports and education, as well as their integration into society. The work meets the city’s aspirations”, emphasized professor Wagno Cursino do Nascimento, from the Bom de Bola, Bom na Escola project, which serves children and young people aged 8 to 21.

Araguacema City Hall received resources in the order of R$ 355,162.59. The amount refers to the payment of the 3rd installment of the Program to Strengthen the Economy and Creation of Jobs, intended to serve the construction of the covered sports court with changing room, in the agricultural village of the Assentamento Santa Clara project. The work is underway and will provide leisure, economic and sports opportunities for the population.
