Coffee brands were removed from the market
The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has the function of promoting the health of the Brazilian population through health control. It is worth remembering that coffee is one of the most consumed drinks in the world. In Brazil, this grain has been part of the national culture for more than two centuries, and the country is a world leader in its production and exports. According to information from the Santa Catarina Health Surveillance portal, Anvisa reported in the publication of RESOLUTION-RE No. 4,735, of December 11, 2023, which suspends the commercialization, distribution, manufacturing, advertising and use, and determines the collection of all batches of some products, from the CBD Café Blends do Brasil brand, a rival in the Pilão brand.
List of the 8 products that were ordered to be immediately withdrawn from the markets:

- BERRY WHITE DECAF COFFEE BEANS FROM CBD BRAND
- ORANGE CALIFORNIA COFFEE BEANS FROM THE CBD BRAND – COFFEE BLENDS DO BRASIL;
- COFFEE LIME KUSH GRAINS FROM THE CBD BRAND – COFFEE BLENDS DO BRASIL;
- BERRY NIGHT DECAF GROUND COFFEE FROM CBD BRAND – COFFEE BLENDS DO BRASIL;
- SUNSET CALIFORNIA GROUND COFFEE FROM THE CBD BRAND – COFFEE BLENDS FROM BRAZIL;
- GROUND ORANGE CALIFORNIA COFFEE FROM THE CBD BRAND – COFFEE BLENDS FROM BRAZIL;
- GROUND MORNING KUSH COFFEE FROM THE CBD BRAND – COFFEE BLENDS FROM BRAZIL.
Furthermore, Anvisa banned another brand. Through resolution number 997, of March 23, 2023, the agency suspended the commercialization, distribution and use of batch number 495 of the Ground Coffee and Roast product, Café da Terra brand, validity: 04/27/2023, distributed by Café Terra do Rei LTDA.
