Maya Mazzafera, formerly known as Matheus Mazzafera, made her grand return to social media this Thursday (9). On Instagram, the presenter and influencer showed off her new look after undergoing gender transition.

On her Instagram profile, Maya shared photos of a photoshoot, showing off her new look for the first time after transitioning. “Nice to meet you, Maya.” Check it out below:

In the comments, celebrities sent compliments and messages of support to Maya. “Help! It’s wonderful”, said Marina Ruy Barbosa. “Beautiful,” wrote Camila Queiroz. “Welcome to your new life!” declared Camilla De Lucas. “Wonderful”, said Brunna Gonçalves.

Maya began sharing about her gender reassignment in April. “Sometimes what we need is to go back to our mother’s womb… but that option is not possible. I was surviving and not living. I had to take a break from everything to find myself. It was that or go away to another plane”, he wrote. “I needed to stay away from the internet and treat myself. But I’m going back and I want to tell and share everything with you.”

This month, the influencer published photos of her updated documents, which now indicate the female gender and her new name.
