The Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais (ALMG) will promote, this Friday (26/04), a public hearing on the medicinal use of Cannabis at the Education, Science and Technology Commission.
The objective of the debate is to highlight the “importance of encouraging scientific research for the development of therapeutic and medicinal use of cannabis-derived products” and “the necessary means to enable access to treatment for the population”.
There will be three debate tables with jurists, doctors, teachers, biologists, people who use cannabidiol-based medicines and family members.
Table 1 starts at 10 am, with the theme “the importance and advances in the therapeutic and medicinal use of cannabis”. At 2 pm, Table II puts on the agenda “the importance of academic research on medicinal cannabis”.
Finally, Table III, starting at 4 pm, discusses “public policies, experiences and advances for access to cannabis treatment for the population”.
