Bill 690/24 expands mandatory health plan coverage for the treatment of diabetes mellitus type 1 (autoimmune). The text, under analysis in the Chamber of Deputies, changes the Health Plans Law.

Diabetes mellitus It is a metabolic syndrome of multiple origins, resulting from a lack of insulin or the inability of this hormone to exert effects on the body. It is characterized by permanent high blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia).
