Anesthetist arrested for rape during cesarean in RJ

Anesthesiologist Giovanni Quintella Bezerra was arrested for rape in the early hours of Monday, 11, in São João Meriti, Rio de Janeiro. He is accused of abusing a patient during a cesarean section at the Hospital da Mulher, in the municipality of Baixada Fluminense. The information is from TV Globo.

According to information, the investigation of the anesthesiologist’s conduct began after employees filmed Bezerra putting his penis in the mouth of a patient, who was unconscious, during her delivery.

Police reported that the team working with the doctor became suspicious because of the excess sedatives applied by him.

“It is necessary to highlight the performance of a nursing team, exemplary health professionals who noticed the movement of the doctor’s body in other surgeries. gave him a drug so that he could commit the crime,” said delegate Barbara Lomb, from the Women’s Police Station, in an interview with TV Globo.

Giovanni Quintella Bezerra is 32 years old and completed his medical specialization in anesthesia two months ago.
