How are car sales in April 2024?

The Brazilian automotive scenario presents a significant increase at the end of April 2024 when compared to the same period in March. As of April 24, the total number of cars and light commercial vehicles registered reached 156,099 units.

Among the brands that sold the most, Fiat emerged as the market leader, with a 19.3% share, a notable margin over Volkswagen, which holds a 16.1% share and remains in second place. Furthermore, GM is not far behind, with a robust presence with 15.4%, while Toyota and Hyundai complete the top 5 best-selling brands, with 9.0% and 8.4%, respectively.

Among the most sold cars, the Fiat Strada returns to the top of the ranking with 8,752 units sold, surpassing the Volkswagen Polo by a narrow sales margin.

On the other hand, the Chevrolet Onix maintains consistency, positioning itself as the third best-selling with 7,266 units.

The big highlight is the Sport version of the Caoa Chery Tiggo 7, recently launched, which boosted the model’s sales growth in the market. Until the 24th, the SUV registered 2,494 registrations, approaching the Jeep Compass, which reached 2,535 units sold in the same period.
