Final of Tournament 1st. May is marked by a great celebration; see the results

A great success marked the final of the 65th May Day Tournament, which celebrated Labor Day in Arapongas. With the presence of fans, families, friends and authorities, 16 teams from the adult category, two Master’s teams, two Under-16 teams and two more teams from the women’s team played the matches at the Estádio Municipal José Chiappin, in Jardim Baronesa. The traditional event, considered one of the biggest amateur football championships in the country, was also attended by the mayor of Arapongas, Sérgio Onofre, Secretary of Sports, Altair Sartori, Secretary of Government, Rafael Cita, other municipal secretaries, state deputy Pedro Bazana, councilors and other representatives. “It’s always a big party. The teams dedicate themselves, the fans cheer at each match. The involvement of our Sports Secretariat is also essential for the satisfactory result of the Tournament”, highlighted Mayor Sérgio Onofre.
The Secretary of Sport, Altair Sartori, also praised the entire event, reinforcing the management’s commitment to bringing quality sport and entertainment to the population of Araponguense. “Without a doubt, we had an excellent Trabalhador tournament. The way Arapongas deserves it,” he said.
In the last two weekends, the teams were divided into disputes (1st and 2nd rounds), with simultaneous games on fields 1, 2 and 3 of the Centro Social Urbano (CSU) and the Secretariat of Sports Field (Former Sesi). This year, 150 teams registered for the Tournament.
