The Government of the State of Ceará, through the Secretariat of Social Protection, in partnership with the Municipality of Icapuí, held the inauguration of two new equipment aimed at children, this Friday (19). A Toy Square in the district of Ibicuitaba and an Early Childhood Education Center (CEI) in the community of Melancias de Baixo were delivered to the population. The ceremony took place at CEI and was attended by the Secretary of Social Protection of the State Government, Onélia Leite Santana, Mayor Raimundo Lacerda Filho, the First Lady and Secretary of Government of the Municipality, Rhaysa Lacerda, the couple’s daughter, Larissa Lacerda, representing all the children present, as well as municipal secretaries, public servants and the population. The equipment aims to promote child development with physical, cognitive and social benefits, in addition to enabling family life, socialization and better learning. Toy Square with Outdoor Gym – Raimundo Rodrigues Nogueira, in Ibicuitaba The Toy Square consists of a playground made up of small double houses with a eucalyptus bridge; two slides with triple swings; spring toy and double seesaws inclusive. The equipment aims to provide children aged 4 to 12 years with a safe and conducive environment for physical, cognitive and psychological development. The outdoor gym has a bicycle simulator; double vertical steering wheel; ski simulator; two individual walking simulators; stretcher with three heights; double side twist; multi exerciser with six functions; individual riding simulator; double diagonal rotation and station for wheelchair users. The State Government’s investment for the implementation of the toy square and outdoor gym was R$ 225,324.35. Early Childhood Education Center (CEI) – Francisco Xavier Marques de Oliveira, in Melancias The new CEI has an area of ​​631.56 m² and capacity to serve 200 children daily. It has four reference rooms, children’s playground, dormitory – nursery/nursing room, baby changing room, children’s computer room, children’s bathrooms, common and adapted, in addition to the administrative block. Part of the Mais Infância Ceará Program, the equipment received investments of R$ 2,139,789.73, financed by the State Government and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), through the Social Reform Support Program (Proares III). The operation of the equipment will be paid for by the City Hall. According to Ana Priscila Costa, coordinator of Early Childhood Education in Icapuí, “the new CEI will initially serve around 150 children from 2 to almost 6 years old, in the morning and afternoon shifts, from the communities of Praia do Ceará, Barrinha de Manibu, Córrego do Sal, Vila União, Arisa, Gravier, Manibu, Peixe Gordo, Manibu beach, Peixe Gordo beach, Melancias above, Melancias below, Tremembé, Quitérias, Ibicuitaba (Rua da Ecetel/center) CEI’s Maria Helena (Manibu) and Alfredo Teodolino (Tremembé).”
