City Hall reopens Luiz A. Zin Sports gym and opens School Games this Friday, 5th

The City of Arapongas, through the Municipal Department of Sports, will reopen the Luiz Augusto Zin Sports Gymnasium, located on Rua Marabu nº 810 – Centro, this Friday, 5th. The 70th Games will also be opened on the same occasion. Schoolchildren of Paraná (JEP’s) – Municipal Phase. This year, the sporting event will feature a prize draw, acrobatics and dunk shows with the acrobatic team GinasLoucos. The mayor of Arapongas, Sérgio Onofre, highlighted the investments made in the sports area over the years. “We are going to hand over the Luiz gym. The Zin completely renovated. The municipal management has already inaugurated Meu Campinho units, renovation of the CSU, Meu Campão, Araucária Sports gym, in addition to supporting Araponguense athletes. Sport has the power to transform lives, as well as being an incentive for health and well-being”, he said.
The secretary of the department, Altair Sartori, spoke of the expectations for these two events that celebrate the sport of Arapongas. “We are excited and preparing. The Luiz A. Zin gym deserved such a renovation, which provides quality in the competitions and events that are held in the space. We invite everyone to honor this moment”, he highlighted.
The 70th Paraná School Games (JEP’s) – Municipal Phase, will feature the following sports: basketball, futsal, handball, volleyball and sand volleyball. With the participation of 111 teams, including: 1,300 athletes, representing public and private educational establishments. Category A includes students aged 15 to 17, born from 01/01/2007 to 12/31/2009. In category B, those aged 12 to 14, born between 01/01/2010 and 12/31/2012. The event is part of the Official Games of Paraná.

Revitalization
The Luiz Augusto Zin Sports Gym underwent extensive renovations that included several improvements, including: waterproofing of the entire roof, replacement of frames, external and internal painting; including the roof, adjustments to the bathrooms and changing rooms, as well as adjustments to the gas system. The project was completely prepared by the Municipal Department of Works and Urban Development (Seodur). The investment was R$622,693.88.
