Arapongas City Hall, through the Specialized Reference Center for Homeless Populations – Centro POP, registered and re-registered 24 homeless people in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) program. The program is a federal government platform that works as mapping, being a form of entry into various social protection policies. The Single Registry allows federal, state and municipal governments to offer assistance to the population. “When we include the homeless person in CadÚnico, it means that we are following the guidelines of the National Policy for the Homeless Population, guaranteeing access to social programs and enabling the overcoming of social vulnerabilities”, said, Emanuel Zanatta, coordinator from Centro POP and operator of CadÚnico.

Among public policies, the homeless population has access to the Bolsa Família program, which operates in an assistance manner, targeting families in situations of poverty and extreme poverty. According to Decree No. 7,053, of December 23, 2009, homeless people are part of this group.
