After two years in the real estate market, Sofia Vergara sold the mansion in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, which she shared with her ex-husband, fellow actor Joe Manganiello. According to TMZ, the property was announced in 2022 for a value of US$19.6 million (more than R$101 million). However, the price was reduced to US$13.7 million (R$70 million) in an agreement reached this Tuesday (23). In total, there were 31 million reais in discount.
Sofia and Joe filed for divorce last year, so the couple were interested in getting rid of the property, a situation taken advantage of by the buyer at the time of bargaining. The separation process was completed in April this year.
The mansion, built in 2006, has 7 bedrooms, with all luxury features, and 11 bathrooms in almost a thousand square meters of modern space divided over three floors. Rooms include double closets and spa-inspired powder rooms, while the downstairs is primed for entertaining with a modern bar, 3,000-bottle wine cellar and tasting room, plus a 10-seat cinema and gym with sauna.
According to the Dirt portal, the property is safely hidden behind walls, gates and high hedges. There is also a garage for three cars and a spacious parking lot, as well as a “refined and romantic” terracotta structure and roof.
Highlights include a double-height foyer showcasing a stunning curved staircase, which flows into the formal living and dining rooms. The family space has French doors that open to the outside and is adjacent to an elegantly designed gourmet kitchen equipped with a large center island, high-end appliances and a breakfast nook.
Outside, the sloping backyard is surrounded by privacy hedges and mature trees, and is home to a huge lawn, private pool and spa, and several ideal spots for relaxing and dining al fresco.
