Maira Cardi caused controversy this Saturday (4) after coming to the defense of pastor Lucinho Barreto, who claimed to have kissed his own daughter on the mouth. On Instagram, the influencer sent a message to the religious leader.

Thiago Nigro’s wife left a comment on the video in which the pastor spoke about the case. “The world is sick and that’s exactly why we need people like you to bring the word of God! Praying for your family,” she wrote.

Maira’s comment had repercussions and she was the target of criticism on the social network. “Sad to read this from you,” said one. “The world is so sick that, out of friendship and admiration, they can’t see that the pastor was wrong in what he said. That would also be loving him!”, declared another. “Word of God? Mona is not possible, I hope your daughter is safe,” said a third. “Have pity, woman! You’ve already been through so much!”, added one.

This week, a video by pastor Lucinho Barreto, from the Lagoinha Baptist Church, in Belo Horizonte (MG), went viral on social media. In the recording, he states in a service that he once kissed his own daughter on the lips when she was a minor.

“Wow, what a woman, if I catch you”, he said in the service made up of an exclusively male audience. “When I meet your boyfriend, I’m going to say: you’re the second one, I’ve already kissed him.”
