Elon Musk admirer sponsors event with Moraes and Lula’s ministers

Businessman Alberto Leite, an admirer of the owner of Tesla and X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk, is sponsoring an event in London that will be attended by ministers from the Federal Supreme Court (STF), including Alexandre de Moraes. The judge, who ordered the blocking of social media profiles of those being investigated for disseminating fake news and anti-democratic acts, began to be criticized by Musk at the beginning of this month. The billionaire considers the court orders to be “censorship” and accuses the Court of disrespecting Brazilian laws.

The 1st Brazil Legal Forum of Ideas which brings together, starting this Wednesday, 24th, several judges and politicians, is supported by FS Security, a Leite company specializing in technology and digital security. In May 2022, when Musk was in Brazil to meet then-president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in Porto Feliz, in the interior of São Paulo, Leite, also a supporter of the former chief executive, met with the billionaire. After the meeting, the Brazilian businessman told the magazine Era that the Tesla owner “was friendly and open.”

Held at the luxury hotel The Peninsula, the event is organized by Grupo Voto, owned by political scientist and businesswoman Karim Miskulin, and is promoted as an “international mission” that seeks to perpetuate “the democratic space” and promote “a constructive dialogue in favor of advance of Brazil”. The same group held, on the eve of the last presidential elections, a lunch for Jair Bolsonaro with female corporate leaders at Palácio Tangará, in São Paulo.
