Rebel Wilson made a shocking revelation in her book, “Rebel Rising.” In an excerpt obtained by InTouch Weekly this Tuesday (2), the actress said that she is “hated” by none other than Adele. According to the star, the owner of the hit “Easy On Me” didn’t like the comparison that was made between the two before they both lost weight.
“Some actresses would be offended if I called them plus size in this book, so I have to be careful what I say. That’s why, I think, Adele hates me.”began Rebel. “There was a time when she was bigger and some people confused us… I assume because, to be fair, I never asked her.”continued.
According to the “Pitch Perfect” actress, the few times the two crossed paths, Adele quickly walked away whenever she saw Wilson coming towards her. “Like my fat could rub off on her if I was near her for more than thirty seconds.”wrote the artist.
The star, who gave life to the character “Fat Amy”, said that the parallels drawn between her and the singer before they lost weight irritated Adele. In an interview with British Vogue in 2021, the 16-time Grammy winner said she lost 45 kilos in two years.
Still in her book, Rebel stated that she started in Hollywood playing “the funny fat girl, making self-deprecating jokes”. However, she began to be taken more seriously in 2020, when she lost more than 36 kilos. Adele has not yet commented on the statement.
