At 41 years old, the actress Leandra Leal She is going through her first pregnancy. And she showed a photo of a pregnancy shoot that was taken by her husband, photographer and filmmaker Guilherme Burgos, 35 years old.
When showing the photo shoot, the actress praised her husband. “Beautiful and loving essay done by my love Guilherme Burgos here at home”, she said. Leandra is already the mother of nine-year-old girl Júlia, she is the result of the actress’ marriage to her ex-husband, Alê Youssef. But the girl came to the family when she was one and a half years old, through adoption.
Leandra Leal also gave more details about her pregnancy. She revealed that she became pregnant at the age of 41 through IVF. The actress revealed that at 35 years of age she had frozen her eggs after reading about the greater difficulty women face in getting pregnant as they age. “I did insemination. I had frozen eggs without any prospects. But life is very magical, I wanted to leave that trick up my sleeve. As I had the financial means, everything was fine. If a woman can do it, I recommend it”, said Leandra in a conversation with Extra.
She also revealed that she decided to get pregnant because her husband really wanted to be a biological father. “I am very fulfilled with Julia’s motherhood, and I didn’t know if I would go through a pregnancy in my life. A lot of people have this ‘stack’, I respect it, each one has their own expectations. But that wasn’t my case. The only thing I was sure of was that I didn’t want Julia to be an only child, like I was. So much so that I already had it and I have the idea of joining the (adoption) queue again… But Gui really wanted to be a biological father, as well as an adoptive one. He has a very close and loving relationship with Juju, his stepfather, and he nurtured this desire. I started on this journey, opening my heart and I think it’s really cool.”

She said that her daughter is very excited about the prospect of her little brother’s arrival. “Juju was already asking for a brother. He really wanted it. At first, she was surprised that it was a boy, but now she is super happy. She talks to people, she wants to figure out what the room will be like, how everything will happen…”, she said. Leandra also revealed that the baby’s name has not been defined and that this will be a choice that will involve the participation of the entire family. “The whole family will participate in this choice. I feel it’s difficult to name it… I think we have to wait a little longer, these things come up… ”, she explained.
