Afterwards, she justified her decision to donate her personal items. “I know it will be hard for her [a mãe] in case I die before her. As I know it will be heavy for her, I want the rest to be lighter. I don’t want you to have to deal with a lot of things. I don’t want her having to face four containers of furniture,” she said.
The artist also detailed her experience of traveling to Tennessee, in the United States, to empty a property she owns there.
“I was packing [os objetos de] one of the places there. It was very difficult and emotional because, at a certain point, I felt like I was giving up on the dream of building this property, putting a house for myself and another for my mother, and expanding the barn”, he commented.
In the end, she said it was the “end of her dream” and “the right thing to do”, despite her mother encouraging her “not to give up”.
Shannen Doherty revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in 2015, when she had a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The disease went into remission in 2017, but returned two years later. Now, she faces stage 4 – the highest among the stages.
