Actress Barbara Rush died on Sunday (March 31), aged 97.
She was a member of the so-called Golden Age of Hollywood.
Barbara became known for her roles in science fiction films.
The information about the death was confirmed by journalist Claudia Cowan, daughter of the actress, declaring that her “wonderful mother passed away peacefully”.
Born on January 4, 1927, in Denver, United States, Barbara Rush was raised in Los Angeles. She studied at the University of California before beginning her film career.
He signed a contract with Paramount Pictures and had his first role in the film “The End of the World”, an Oscar winner for special effects. His second feature film was in the same genre, titled “Veio do Espaço”.
She also composed the cast of other important Hollywood productions, such as “Sublime Obsessão” and “Delírio de Loucura”. She also worked with important names in cinema, such as Frank Sinatra, Richard Burton and Paul Newman.
Barbara was married three times, the first time to Jeffrey Hunter, actor and television producer, with whom she had her first son, Christopher Hunter. When she separated from him, she married agent Warren Cowan, Claudia’s father, and they were married for 10 years (1959-1969). Her last marriage was to actor Jim Gruzinski, which lasted three years.
