O SBTthrough an official statement, announced on the afternoon of this Monday, 1st, that the presenter Eliana, 51, will leave the broadcaster in June this year, after 15 years. In the note, the company Silvio Santos claims that the change occurs so that a new professional phase begins.

“After almost 15 years leading a consolidated and highly successful program, Eliana decided that it was time for a new phase with other professional challenges, without ever forgetting the countless days of joy, achievements and learning experienced at the station, so much so that she will continue to be Godmother of the Telethon and makes a point of returning to the station to present the fundraising program for AACD”, she says.
“Both parties rightfully express their mutual gratitude and wish the best for the future. SBT also reinforces its affection and support for the presenter in whatever paths she intends to follow”, concludes the statement.
“Programa da Eliana”, which airs on Sunday afternoons, is the station’s second-leader in terms of audience.
What was Eliana’s salary at SBT?
For years on TV, presenters like Ana Maria Braga, Eliana Luciano Huck, Ratinho, among others, gained space and a lot of money on the small screen. Even in the digital era of social networks and the growth of streaming services, television is still very present in the homes of millions of Brazilians.
According to data from Kantar Ibope released in 2022, presenter Eliana earns R$900,000 per month on SBT, in addition to advertising campaigns and merchandising on her program.
Eliana on Globo?
In August 2022, there were some rumors about Eliana possibly going to TV Globo. At the time, columnists Alessandro Lo-Bianco and Kaká Meyer reported that the blonde would leave SBT.
Lo-Bianco stated that, when negotiating with GlobeEliana said that she would like autonomy in her contract, just as she always had at SBT, in addition to conditions in which she can give tips on what she will do on her program or future projects on Roberto Marinho’s broadcaster.
Presenter denied
After speculation that Eliana would leave SBT for Globo, the press office of the communicator spoke out.
“Once again we have come to inform you in a resounding manner that Eliana has not received any invitation or had contact with another broadcaster. Eliana remains vice-leader on Sundays at the head of the Eliana Program, on SBT”, informed the team via social media.
In an interview with columnist Lucas Pasin, from UOL, at the beginning of this year, Eliana once again denied her move to Globo.
“I’m very happy at SBT and I didn’t actually receive an offer from Globo. Everything I learned about the matter was from the media. What I can say is that I love new challenges, I like to evolve, and I always want to give my best to the public. I like to bring new things, and that is my desire for 2024 and 2025: to innovate”, he said at the time.
