Sources from the Daily Mirror newspaper claim that Prince William’s response to the message sent by his brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, to Princess Kate Middleton after her cancer diagnosis was “cold and formal”.
The response would have been written by William’s aides with “diplomatic airs”, demonstrating the hurt he still feels over Harry’s statements in the past.
“William is still very hurt by Harry’s past statements,” a source told the Daily Mirror. “He responded, but it was a response written by the[s assessores do] Palace and is far from the warm, informal response you would expect between two brothers.”
The source added that the response was “kind of formal, which you might expect in an exchange between two diplomats.”
Harry and Meghan reportedly made contact with William, but his response was “sympathetic” and did not include any suggestion that they should make up and Harry return to the UK.
Kate Middleton went public with her cancer diagnosis a few weeks ago and asked for privacy during her chemotherapy treatment.
In a video, she revealed that she discovered the health problem in January, after abdominal surgery that took her away from her official activities.
