Christina Applegate opened up about her battle with multiple sclerosis during her appearance on the “Armchair Expert” podcast, hosted by Dax Shepard. The actress revealed her diagnosis of the disease in 2021 and, according to her, since then living with this condition has become almost unbearably painful.

The star said that discovering the disease was “the worst thing that ever happened in your life”. She currently has 30 brain injuries. “The biggest one is behind my right eye, so I feel a lot of pain in my eye”, she said. Applegate said that, despite the severe pain, the injury does not affect her vision.

The artist also explained that the big issue with multiple sclerosis is mobility, and this can be affected in different ways in each person. “My hands start to feel strange and sometimes I feel a twitching sensation in my brain, but not all the time,” he stated. “I’m not happy about this”she continued.

Christina was also clear about how easy it is to live with the disease. “It’s sh*t. I hate it so much. You can’t get over it”, he vented. Finally, she said on the podcast that she is the “worst patient”, because on days when she is in a lot of pain, she “goes to bed instead of stretching her muscles”.
