Elon Musk announces donation of 1,000 Starlink terminals and free use for RS | Technology

Elon Muskowner of Starlinka satellite internet company, announced this Thursday (9) the donation of a thousand company terminals to emergency teams and their free use in the region until the place recovers from the floods.

The state is experiencing its biggest natural catastrophe, affecting 425 cities, some completely covered by water, and 1.5 million people affected, according to the most recent Civil Defense data.

“I hope the best for the people of Brazil”, wrote Musk in his post, which has already registered more than 100 thousand likes in less than 1 hour of publication.

The post also replicates a video by Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen – who is from the state – and explains the situation in the region, showing flooded houses and rescues.
