The owner of Twitter/X and TeslaElon Musk, met with the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, on Monday 2 and recommended investments in the South American country.
The meeting between the businessman and the head of Casa Rosada took place in Los Angeles, after both participated in the 27th Milken Institute Global Conference, in California.
The event, which began on Sunday 5th, is recognized as an important forum for debates on innovation, finance and global policies.

After the meeting, Musk published a photo with Milei on Twitter/X and said he had a “great meeting” with the Argentine president. He also recommended investments in the country.

Economy advances with Milei
Since assuming the Presidency of Argentina, in December 2023, Javier Milei has implemented a series of reforms in the country’s economy, focusing on privatizations and easing labor laws.

These measures are being well received by the financial market. The main index on the Argentine Stock Exchange, the S&P Merval, has risen 54% since Milei took office.
The index reached 1,452,002 points last Friday, 3 — a significant increase compared to the 941,830 points observed in December last year.
