Hyundai cooling film

A manufacturer doesn’t just make a living from new cars. With an eye on the greatest convenience of its customers, Hyundai launched in South Korea, a new film for refrigeration.

The item will be used for reduce internal temperatures of the brand’s models by dissipating heat.

This action will be possible due to the nanostructures present in the film, which will act on transfer of temperature.

Naturally, the product’s greatest effectiveness must occur in hot and dry weather, in accordance with its cooling function.

Initially, Hyundai will operate with the new film only on the Asian continent, but the idea in the not too distant future is to adopt mass production for operation in other countries.

Film characteristics

Nano Cooling Film, unlike dark tone films, blocks external thermal energy and emits internal radiant heat to the exterior of the vehicle.

The Hyundai product has three layers that block or selectively emit specific wavelengths of heat.

The film can be applied in conjunction with conventional colored films.

Test in Pakistan

The initial testing process for Hyundai’s new film took place with the launch of the “Made Cooler By Hyundai” campaign in Pakistan.

The action was carried out by applying the film to 70 vehicles in the city of Lahore, in the Asian country.

There, current daily temperatures are registering maximums of 50ºC in summer, thus a favorable scenario for Hyundai to put its new product to the test.

Furthermore, in the city of Lahore, the affixing of colored film to vehicle windows is prohibited for safety reasons, which expands Hyundai’s possibilities of operating in the local market.

To achieve this, the automaker’s refreshing film, in compliance with the laws, reduces indoor temperature by more than 10°C without darkening the windows.

In a study already carried out by the manufacturer, during the summer, the film reduced the temperature near the driver’s head by up to 10.98°C compared to conventional colored items.

In comparison with traditional films on clear glasses, the temperature reduction was 12.33ºC.
