O physical cattle market returns to presenting comfortable prices in a large part of the country, with some deals above the average reference.
Mato Grosso showed a more striking increase in its prices, a consequence of the tightening of slaughter scales in the state.
In Rondônia and Pará, the industry situation is more comfortable, with well-positioned scales and attempts to purchase at lower levels.
“Pastures offer support to livestock farmers, who continue to maintain the rhythm of their business. It is still possible that there will be greater availability of animals for slaughter between the months of May and June, when the pastures will not be in such good conditions”, says the analyst at Consultoria Safras & Mercado, Fernando Henrique Iglesias.

Wholesale
The wholesale market recorded mixed prices again this Tuesday. Replenishment is slower this week, with consumption particularly depressed at this time of the month, which in itself is already problematic.
“The scenario of competing proteins accentuates this situation, with chicken meat and pork showing an intense downward movement, resulting in a loss of competitiveness for beef in the domestic market. The good news is that the export flow remains representative”, says Iglesias.
The hind quarter was priced at R$17.50 per kilo, an increase of R$0.25. The forequarter was priced at R$14.00 per kilo, a drop of R$0.20. The needle tip was priced at R$13.00 per kilo, a drop of R$0.15.
