Azul (AZUL4) obtained a net profit of R$403.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2023, representing an increase of 74.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In adjusted terms, the company reported a net loss of R$270.6 million in the last quarter of 2023, a reduction of 55.7% compared to the loss recorded in the same period of 2022.

The company clarified that the results are not audited and that it will not be possible to deliver the audited financial statements and the independent auditor’s report for 2023 within the legal deadline, due to the fact that the work of the independent auditors has not yet been completed.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) in 4Q23 increased by 33.7% to R$1.5 billion, resulting in a margin of 29.2%.

Blue (BLUE4)

Operating profit in 4Q23 increased 68.3% to R$883.2 million, with a margin of 17.6%, an increase of 5.8 percentage points compared to 4Q22.

Total operating revenue in 4Q23 reached a record R$5.0 billion, an increase of 13.0%, driven mainly by strong growth in passenger revenue and other revenue sources.

Revenue from cargo and others also reached a historic record of R$365.1 million in the last quarter, an increase of 9.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

RASK (Revenue per Available Seat Kilometer) reached an all-time high of R$45.30 cents, representing an increase of 6.1% compared to 4Q22.

Immediate liquidity totaled R$3.0 billion, which is equivalent to 16.2% of revenue in the last twelve months and represents an increase of 18.8% compared to 4Q22.
