The Post Office released this Thursday (28) a report indicating a loss of R$597 million in 2023, which represents a 22% reduction compared to the previous year, when the loss was R$768 million. The company’s total revenue last year was R$21.6 billion, a drop of 1.83% compared to 2022. Total expenses had a reduction of 2.52%, from R$22.8 billion in 2022 to R$22.2 billion in 2023. With regard to investments, Correios invested R$755.5 million last year, a decrease of 0.4% compared to 2022. Among the highlights of the report, are the appreciation of employees, with the replacement of benefits and salary increases, the 23.2% growth in revenue in the international segment and the renewal of the company’s own distribution fleet, with the acquisition of vehicles and bicycles.

The report also states that the company created new routes to reduce delivery times, advanced the Correios Empresas digital platform to meet the needs of small and medium-sized companies, and created and updated more than 90 thousand ZIP codes in more than 120 locations, benefiting more of five million inhabitants and increasing the competitiveness of national parcel services, especially Sedex.
