Pimenta announces “largest February Caged in history”, with more than 300 thousand jobs created

247 – The chief minister of the Social Communication Secretariat (Secom) of the Presidency of the Republic, Paulo Pimenta, announced, this Tuesday (26), that Brazil generated 300 thousand jobs in the month of February.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment will release data on the opening of formal job vacancies from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (Caged) for February this Wednesday (27), with no time yet defined. The expectation in a Reuters survey is that 245,000 jobs were created last month.

According to the chief minister of Secom, President Lula’s government has been preparing the conditions to generate economic growth. “We created 180 thousand jobs in January, and tomorrow we will announce the biggest Caged February in the history of Brazil, with more than 300 thousand jobs created in Brazil in the month. Interest rates started to fall, inflation was controlled, unemployment rates were lower, Petrobrás returning to the service of the Brazilian people. We prepared the conditions for the country to grow again, and obviously this bothers a lot of people”, said Pimenta during a solemn session at the District Chamber, DF, at the event in honor of Brazil’s 13th anniversary 247 .
