The Minas Gerais pizzeria Quintal 333 was selected as one of the 50 best pizzas in Latin America by 50 Top Pizza, considered the most influential guide in the sector. The Latin American ranking was carried out for the first time this year, when 25 Brazilian houses were selected among the best.
Located in Governador Valadares, in the Rio Doce region, the pizzeria is headed by Thomás Arthuso, certified by Accademia Pizza Doc, an Italian cooking school specializing in pizzas. Quintal 333 was the only pizzeria from Minas Gerais in the ranking led by national restaurants.
São Paulo was considered “the capital of quality pizza in Latin America”, with 10 establishments on the list. First place was Leggera Pizza Napoletana, by André Guidon, while second place went to QT Pizza, also located in the capital of São Paulo, run by Matheus Ramos – winner of the award for best pizza maker of the year.
The third position was occupied by Ti Amo, by Victoria and Carola Santoro, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The establishment was followed by A Pizza da Mooca, from São Paulo. The fifth position in the ranking is Allería, in Providencia, Chile.
