The daughter of billionaire and co-founder of the Slack platform, Stewart Butterfield, has been missing since the night of Sunday, 21st, when she was seen in Bolinas, California, United States. Authorities are investigating whether 16-year-old Mint Butterfield fled to the Tenderloin, a San Francisco neighborhood known for violence and drug sales. The information is from the New York Post.

The young woman’s mother, Caterina Fake, founder of Flickr, called the authorities on Monday, 22, after noticing her disappearance. “Mint was last seen wearing a black hoodie, pajama pants and black boots,” said Sheriff’s spokesman Jose Suarez.
Mint Butterfield is the daughter of two businessmen. Stewart Butterfield has a fortune equivalent to 1.6 billion dollars (around R$8.2 billion) and Caterina Fake is the founder of Flickr, an image service sold to Yahoo! for 30 million dollars (R$ 154.9 million). The couple divorced in 2007.
Stewart Butterfield was in charge of Slack from 2013 until 2021, when the company was purchased by Salesforce for $28 billion.
According to police, the young woman abuses drugs and frequently goes to the Tenderloin. Because of this, the initial hypothesis of the American authorities is that she fled to a neighborhood that sells drugs.
