The Others, the Globoplay Original series, left many people impacted with its first season shown on the streaming service in 2023. With visceral performances from a strong cast, with names like Adriana Esteves, Thomas Aquino, Maeve Jinkings, Milhem Cortaz and Drica Moraes.
In the original plot, the series from the same creator as Sob Pressão addresses the contemporary difficulty of ignoring dialogue and the consequences of intolerance. Against the backdrop of Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, two couples from the suburbs move to a condominium in the neighborhood: Wando (Cortaz) and Mila (Jinkings) and Cibele (Esteves) and Amâncio (Aquino).
Their children fight, and when they try to intervene, they can’t reach an agreement. With the fight still open, a dispute for the truth takes place in the condominium, including the other residents.

The production was not only a hit on social media, it became Globoplay’s most watched original series project. With the drama’s arrival on open TV, airing on Thursdays, at 10:25 pm, after Renascer, many are wondering about the renewal of The Others.
Will The Others have a 2nd season?
The Globoplay phenomenon will return with a 2nd season. During CCXP 23, held in December last year, a teaser of the production was shown with some details about the new narrative. In addition to the original cast, the new episodes will feature the addition of Letícia Colin, Sérgio Guizé and Luis Lobianco.
In a recent interview with Veja, Lucas Paraizo, creator and screenwriter of the series, spoke about what to expect from the new (and intense) stories:
“In the second season we take a leap forward in relation to some issues and expand the story. We don’t settle down and go to a new condominium, new issues, expand the debate. We finished filming at the end of January, we started the editing part, which should take about four months. I believe it will debut after the Olympics. And I’m going to start writing season three.
He adds: “Also in a third condominium, another story. When I wrote the first one, I already imagined what the second season would be like, I knew it would bring new characters. I’m happy that we touched on important issues, such as empathy, tolerance, life in society. This reverberated in a surprising way. I’m doing the best I can.”
