Part of the cast of Renascer, the current “soap opera” on Rede Globo, was in Chiador, a municipality in Minas Gerais, 78 km from Juiz de Fora, this Wednesday (24). The actors recorded scenes from the next chapters in the city and posted them on social media.
Actress Gabriela Medeiros, who plays Buba, and actor Renan Monteiro, who plays the character José Augusto, son of protagonist José Inocêncio, were seen recording scenes in the city’s main square.
On social media, the actors shared their visit to Minas Gerais and their meeting with fans of the soap opera.

Buba and José Augusto plot in Renascer
After the death of José Venâncio, one of José Inocêncio’s four children, Buba, who had a relationship with Venâncio, begins to get closer to his brother, José Augusto. In the first version of the soap opera, shown in 1993, the two embark on a romance and get married with the blessing of José Inocêncio, at the time, played by Antônio Fagundes.
In the first version, the protagonist discovers the truth about Buba, who was intersex: together with José Inocêncio, she pretended to be pregnant with his child. However, the child is fathered by Teca, played in the first version by Paloma Duarte and, in the current version, by Lívia Silva. The expectation is that the same plot development will happen in the remake. In this version, Buba is a transsexual woman.
