According to shipping and customs data shared between NVIDIA and Nintendo, everything indicates that the upcoming Nintendo Switch will have major improvements in terms of storage and RAM.

Apparently, Famiboards tracked a website that publicly recorded shipping data tied to NVIDIA and the Switch 2. As explained by Reddit user ‘Darthdiablo’, Famiboards has been tracking this data for months, with the data being around two months old.

We started looking at the shipping data and found mentions of the T239 being tested/validated at NVIDIA India (around 2022), the devkits (Carpa X1, IWOH) and a bunch of data from Hosiden (located in Vietnam, they make parts for Nintendo consoles). We were able to determine identifiers that correspond to the Switch’s current hardware (OLED, Lite, orig, v2), as well as one that cannot be compared to any current hardware (supposed Switch 2).

Analyzing the data, Famiboards appears to have found signs that the Nintendo Switch 2 will feature 12 GB of RAM, likely coming from two 6 GB 7500 MT/s LPDDR5 modules. Additionally, the console also reportedly features 256GB of Universal Flash (UFS 3.1) storage.

In related news, Centro Leaks, a well-known source of information leaks about the Pokémon franchise, revealed that three titles in the franchise are being developed specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2.

As we know, so far, only Pokémon ZA has been made official for 2025, which could be a crossgen release between the current Switch and the new console. However, many fans speculate that the other approved projects include 10th generation Pokémon, as well as a remake of Pokémon Black and White.

As always, all information should be treated as a rumor until official announcements, but what do you think of the Switch 2’s possible specs?
