Users of iPhone received a new WhatsApp update from Meta, this time in relation to color of the messenger. The new interface, in testing since February, has finally been released to owners of iOS devices.
Now WhatsApp is more “green”. The application’s new visual identity includes new tones for notifications and other buttons. The update is available in version 24.9.4 of the iOS app. The greenest WhatsApp arrives to change the iPhone’s blue default. In addition, the messenger also received new icons and illustrations.
Android also received changes
But iOS wasn’t the only operating system to receive the change: owners of Android also received updates to the Meta app recently. However, the news did not please users. One of them involves the menu bar located at the bottom of the screen, which was a source of discontent on the networks. See the image below:

The recent changes to the Meta should not stop there. The prediction is that the WhatsApp color change become standard, modifying the appearance of the messenger on other platforms, such as PC and browser.
Access key will be the next new thing
In addition to the change in the green color of WhatsApp for iOS, the company responsible for the application is also preparing another new feature that is highly anticipated by users: the access keys.
The functionality should be released soon and works as an extra layer of protection against scams and unauthorized access to the device.
To enable the access key on WhatsApp on iOS, simply access the “Settings” section, then “Account”. Then go to “Access keys”. The purpose of the functionality is to ensure easy login, while protecting the user against intrusions.
