Honor is expanding its line of mid-range cell phones this Friday (26) with the launch of the Honor 200 Lite, which hits stores as the first model in the line that will succeed the Honor 100. The smartphone has balanced hardware that aims to compete with the main devices in the segment launched by Samsung and Xiaomi.

The Honor 200 Lite has a 6.7-inch screen with AMOLED technology, Full HD+ resolution (2,412 x 1,080 pixels), 90 Hz refresh rate and 2,000 nits peak brightness. The panel has a pill-shaped cutout in the top center that refers to the front design of the iPhone 15. This notch has similar functions to Apple’s Dynamic Island.

In the photography department, the Honor 200 Lite sports a main camera with a 108 MP sensor that supports video recording in up to Full HD, a wide-angle lens with a 5 MP sensor and a macro lens with a 2 MP sensor. The front camera has a resolution of 50 MP and also supports Full HD video recording.

The cell phone is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 6080 platform, which is just a renamed version of the Dimensity 810, featuring a CPU manufactured with 6 nanometer lithography running at a clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The processor will work alongside 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

The battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 35 W. Other specifications of the cell phone include support for two SIM cards, 5G network, NFC and the Android 14 operating system with MagicOS 8.0.

Despite having an AMOLED screen, the cell phone’s fingerprint sensor is on the side, and not integrated into the display. The cell phone also supports facial unlocking through its robust frontal sensor system.

The Honor 200 Lite is now available on Honor’s official website for pre-order in Europe with price €329 (around R$1,800) and will be delivered from May 3rd. There are three color options: light blue, dark cyan and black. During its launch on the European market, alongside your cell phone, you can get the Honor Band 9 for just €59 (around R$320).

At the moment, there is no forecast for the cell phone to be launched in other countries. On a related note, the Chinese brand recently confirmed the launch of the Honor X8b in Brazil to challenge sales of the Samsung Galaxy A15.
