Update (04/23/2024) – GS

Rumors have been circulating about Honor’s debut in Brazil for a while now, with the brand even taking action on social media, but this week, Honor Brasil’s official Instagram profile began its countdown to the launch of its first models in the country .

As we can see, the post indicates the launch for April 25th, which according to previous rumors, will include the Honor X8a and Honor X6a models, but the renderings posted by the brand indicate the arrival of models such as the Honor X7b and Honor X8b .

In an initial version of the official Brazilian website, it is possible to see the X7b and X8b models, in addition to the Honor Magic 5 Lite, Honor Magic V2 and Honor Magic 6 Pro, but official prices are not available and many links still do not work correctly.

For now, we can only wait to find out which models will be confirmed, but the launch could really attract consumers’ attention.

Are you coming? Honor Brasil teases launch of the “X” series of cell phones in a post on Instagram

Honor is preparing its debut in the Brazilian cell phone market, and this Thursday morning (18), the Chinese manufacturer gave the first hints about which devices it intends to launch in the country to present to the public. In a post on Instagram, the company invites Brazilians to soon discover its “X” series of intermediate smartphones.

“A whole series of smartphones created to provide cutting-edge technology in an accessible way for as many people as possible”, describes the brand in its post on the social network. It is worth remembering that the Honor X8a and Honor X6a have already been approved by Anatel, suggesting that can be launched at any time in Brazil.

One of the promotional posters for the “X” series shows the features of a cell phone with a pill-shaped notch on the screen. Interestingly, the models already approved by the national regulatory agency have a teardrop-shaped hole or notch. This could mean that Honor is preparing more surprises for Brazil, like the Honor X8b.

The company has not yet confirmed what its first bets on the Brazilian market will be, but its official website already lists the models that could arrive in the country and heat up the mid-range and premium cell phone segment, such as the Honor Magic 5 Lite and Magic 5 Pro.

With a diversified portfolio, Honor would land challenging the products of the most popular brands in the country, such as Samsung, Motorola and Xiaomi. While the “X” series encompasses basic and intermediate models to compete with the “Galaxy A” and “Moto G” families, for example, the “Magic” series could rival the main high-end cell phones.

Honor, which was the second largest cell phone manufacturer in China in 2023, could arrive in Brazil amid the great growth in sales of Chinese manufacturers in Latin America. These companies have consolidated themselves in the macro-region thanks to expansion strategies in Brazil and Central America, in addition to contracts with operators in Mexico and Colombia.

At the moment, there is no scheduled date for the debut of Honor’s new cell phones in Brazil.
