Minas announced, this Thursday (9/5), the signing of striker Renato Russomano, better known as Pato. The athlete arrives in Belo Horizonte after three seasons at Osasco.
At 41 years old, Pato will be the most experienced player in the Minas Gerais squad. The winger won three Superliga titles with Florianópolis (2007/08, 2008/09 and 2009/10). He has also played for Italian teams such as Milano, Emma Villas Siena and Santa Croce.
“I am very happy to be part of Minas. It’s a big club, with a fantastic structure and a reference in athlete training. Furthermore, it will be the first time that I will play for a team from Minas Gerais, which is a state that is passionate about volleyball. We are putting together a competitive team that will be fully capable of fighting for titles. I am confident and hope to contribute with my experience”, said the player.
The athlete also played for the Brazilian National Team, having been part of the squad that won the gold medal at the 2011 Pan-American Games, in Guadalajara, Mexico.
