Blachowicz wants a rematch against Poatan in the UFC: ‘He’s not better than me’

MMA veteran, Jan Blachowicz does not hide the discomfort when remembering the fight against Alex Pereira. In July, in Utah (USA), the Pole lost the duel to ‘Poatan’ by split decision and also the chance to compete for the light heavyweight belt (93 kg) of the UFC again. As the result of the fight generates debate to this day, the former category champion remains hopeful of facing the now division leader for the second time.

In an interview with the ‘YouTube’ channel ‘Fanatics View’, Blachowicz admitted that he was impressed with the Brazilian’s performance in the victory over Jamahal Hill. In any case, the Pole guaranteed that ‘Poatan’ would not be able to do the same to him.

It is worth noting that the veteran was the only light heavyweight who was not knocked out by the athlete. As part of the fans saw his victory in the fight against Alex, Jan claimed to be superior to the executioner and promised to leave no room for discussion in a possible rematch.

“I bet on Alex [contra Jamahal Hill], but I didn’t expect it to finish him off so quickly. It was interesting how quickly he did it. It was very impressive. I thought he would win that way, but maybe in the second round, not in the first”, declared the veteran.

“He was better, he’s a better fighter than Jamahal, but he’s not better than me. I believe I deserve the rematch. When he fought me, I still believe I won. The judges saw it differently. He knocked out everyone but me. I believe that, When I return, I will be able to fight him once again,” he added.
