Cruzeiro beat Alianza, from Colombia, 3-0, this Tuesday (7/5), in the Copa Sudamericana. A video of the delegation leaving the hotel heading to the Armando Maestre Pavajeau stadium went viral on social media due to the attitude of the celestial players.

The footage shows some fans singing in support of Raposa. What caught our attention was the fact that the players passed straight by, without even looking in the direction of the people who were there. Watch the video below:

After the negative repercussion, Tátila Nathalia, a Cruzeiro fan who was in the hotel lobby, vented her feelings on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

“I and everyone who was there left extremely angry! I was recording and my video lasted 10 seconds because I stopped recording because of so much humiliation. I felt extremely bad about the players’ attitude, we weren’t there wanting a photo, shirt, autograph, anything. We went to support and our presence was the same as if we didn’t exist,” she said.

According to the fan, only midfielders Matheus Pereira and Lucas Romero paid attention to people.

“They came out full of rage, they never looked at us. Pereira and Romero were the only ones who paid attention to us, but they were also the last to leave. The feeling was one of revolt, to the point that we arrived at the stadium upset”, added Tátila.

Cruzeiro victory in the South American

Cruzeiro’s 3-0 defeat of Alianza served to give new energy to the club in search of qualifying for the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana. The celestial team dominated their opponents on Tuesday night (7/5), at the Estadio Armando Maestre Pavajeau, in Valledupar, Colombia, in the fourth round, and won comfortably.

Cruzeiro sought victory away from home from the first minutes of the game, when they almost opened the scoring with Zé Ivaldo. It was up to Lucas Silva, in the last play of the opening stage, to put the Celestial team in advantage. The midfielder took advantage of Matheus Pereira’s cross shot and only had the job of shoving the ball into the back of the net.

When the break came back, Arthur Gomes’ star shone. The striker took advantage of the rebound from a great play by Rafa Silva, who dribbled past two opposing defenders in the area, and sent it into the right corner of goalkeeper Grazziani.

In the end, Rafael Elias shot from outside the area and had a deflection in the Alianza defense to score a great goal.

The good performance confirmed Raposa’s first triumph in the competition. Previously, the Minas Gerais team suffered three frustrating draws for the Cruzeiro fans.

South American Cruise

With the result, Cruzeiro reached six points and provisionally took second place in Group B. However, it may not remain in that position at the end of the round.

To definitively take second place, Raposa needs to hope for a draw or defeat for Unión La Calera (3rd, with four points), against Universidad Católica (leader, with seven). The teams face each other this Thursday (9/5), at 11pm, at the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium, in Quito, Ecuador.
