With more than half of the season to go, Arthur Gomes is already recording the best numbers of his career in 2024. Cruzeiro’s absolute starter, the 25-year-old striker found the net in the rout over Alianza, in Colombia, in the Copa Sudamericanathis Tuesday (7).


Against the Colombian team, Arthur Gomes scored his fourth goal this year. Alongside center forward Rafael Elias, the number 11 is Cruzeiro’s second top scorer this season, behind only Argentine Juan Ignacio Dinenno. In addition to the goals scored, Arthur also contributed four assists in 19 games.

Before arriving at Cruzeiro, Arthur Gomes’ best career numbers were at Sporting, in Portugal, and Atlético Goianiense.
