Grêmio’s coach, Renato Portaluppi, posted a video accompanied by his daughter, Carol Portaluppi, to ask for even more help for those affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. The Grêmio idol also explained the reason for leaving Porto Alegre after the rescue at the hotel where you live and followed the guidance of the authorities.

Renato left Porto Alegre this Monday after a conversation with President Alberto Guerra. The technician was rescued from the Deville hotel, where he was stranded by the floods that are raging in RS, and then went to the Hilton hotel. As the area where we were staying ran out of water, the decision was to go home to Rio de Janeiro.
— First of all, my tight hug, you can be sure that your sadness is my sadness too. I was stranded in the hotel, I was rescued as everyone saw, I went to another hotel, unfortunately there was no water. The authorities asked people to leave the city, that’s what I did, I came to Rio.
— Whether in RS or here, the important thing is to help people who are in need. I’m with my daughter, she’s been sleeping badly, she’s been trying to help people, we’ve just helped children, the elderly, animals. Anyone who does their part, even if as little as possible, will reduce the suffering of the people of Rio Grande do Sul — she added.
The technician’s daughter has been active in disseminating information about the rescues in Rio Grande do Sul and also raising donations for those affected by the rains and for teams working on rescues.
