O Santos is scheduled to face Guarani this Monday, a game valid for the third round of Series B of the Brazilian Championship. For the duel, coach Fábio Carille decided to keep the team that beat Avaí in the last round away from home.

The coach is still without right-back Aderlan, who is recovering from an injury to his left arm. As a result, JP Chermont, his substitute in the last game and scorer of one of the goals, remains in the team.

Alfredo Morelos, recently removed, got a new chance and will continue as a starter, as the other center forward, Julio Furch, is still unable to play for more than 30 minutes.

On the bench, four new additions. One of them is striker Pedrinho, absent in the last round due to pubic discomfort. Defender Jair, recovered from a muscle injury to his left thigh, is also back and could debut in the competition.

Two others who could debut in Series B are striker Willian Bigode, recovered from an injury to the anterior muscle of his left thigh, and attacking midfielder Patrick, signed in April.

Peixe’s starting team has the following formation: João Paulo; JP Chermont, Joaquim, Gil and Escobar; João Schmidt, Diego Pituca and Giuliano; Otero, Guilherme and Alfredo Morelos.

Santos and Guarani will face each other later in Vila Belmiro, at 9pm. If Peixe wins, the team will regain the lead in Series B and maintain its 100% advantage in the competition.
