Striker Vitor Roque’s future at Barcelona is uncertain. Coach Xavi Hernández has not taken advantage of the player, who could leave the Catalan club due to a lack of opportunities, as reported by the former Cruzeiro and Athletico-PR’s agent.
In an interview with Radio RAC 1from Catalonia, André Cury, Vitor Roque’s agent, said that Xavi doesn’t even talk to the attacker.
“No, he never spoke to the player. I don’t understand this situation either,” said Cury.
Vitor Roque has played 13 games for Barcelona, but started only two. The center forward has scored two goals since arriving at the club.
“It’s a situation that is not good for either side. I believe there have already been several matches in which these minutes could be given so that today we wouldn’t be talking about this topic”, analyzed Cury.
“I think I can give him a lot more minutes. Xavi gave minutes to Fermín, Cubarsí and Lamine (Yamal) and did not give any to Vitor (Roque). I don’t know how to explain it, because he’s the coach. We are not in a great season either. We conceded (Barcelona) almost 30 goals in January, eight from Girona (in both rounds), nine goals from Real Madrid, six goals in a Champions League tie, I think that doesn’t help either”, he criticized.
As he has not had opportunities, the businessman understands that the player could leave Barcelona. Not on loan, as the Barça coach thought. Cury understands that if he is going to leave, it should be permanently.
“No loan. Either the player stays, and was hired for that, so that the club can give him minutes, and he can demonstrate (his football), or if the club decides that the player cannot stay, he will be sold”, explained the businessman.
