Brazil guarantees two more places at the Paris Olympic Games, in beach volleyball

The duo Arthur and Evandro stamped his passport heading to the Olympics. The victory over André and George, another Brazilian pair assured in Paris, qualified the players for the decision of the Brasília stage of the Beach Volleyball World Tour. This way, Arthur and Evandro mathematically guarantee themselves in the Games.

The 100% Brazilian game ended in 2 sets to 1 for Arthur and Evandro – the partials were 21/19, 17/21 and 15/12. The newly qualified duo for the Olympic Games will face the Dutch Matthew Immer and Steven van de Velde in the grand final of the competition.

Brazil will have four athletes representing men’s beach volleyball at the Paris Games, Arthur and Evandro, in addition to André and George themselves – who had already secured their Olympic place. Arthur will make his debut at the big event, while Evandro will arrive for his third participation – he was at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021. However, he did not reach the podium in either of them.

In women’s beach volleyball, the duos Duda and Ana Patrícia, as well as Bárbara Seixas and Carol Solberg will represent Brazil on French soil.
