Pulling takes pole and wins race 2 of the F1 Academy in Miami from start to finish

Abbi Pulling is on track to be the name of the 2024 F1 Academy season. In race 2 of the Miami GP held this Sunday (5), the driver didn’t give anyone an opening and converted pole into yet another victory over the weekend.

As soon as the lights went out on the urban circuit, the Alpine starter on the grid had no problem staying at the top. Shortly afterwards, she began to build her advantage over Bianca Bustamante, who was in second place.

Further back, the exit was not entirely smooth. In the first few meters, Lola Lovinfosse hit Tina Haussmann and caused the Aston Martin representative to abandon. For the incident, she received a 10s penalty, but continued to gain ground and after overtaking Nerea Martí, she went after Aurélia Nobels.

Throughout the race, good fights were happening throughout the peloton. Martí was chasing Lola to try to regain her position, while MP Motorsport teammates Emely de Heus and Amna al Qubaisi were also dueling – it turns out that just a few corners ahead, Emely escaped and went back behind Courtney Crone, the wild-card of the stage.

Then, Lovinfosse was involved in a new incident, this time with the Brazilian Nobels. The competitor touched the Puma driver and, once again, was penalized with 10s.

Meanwhile, at the front of the field, no one could catch Pulling, who was on pace to sweep the competition at the weekend. Bustamante tried to get closer, but without success, while Doriane Pin ran along the lowest pedestal on the podium.

Approaching the end, it was Jéssica Edgar’s turn to have a setback in her dispute. When she came to attack Nerea, the British woman spun and returned only in 15th place.

Checkered flag and another very lonely race for Abbi, who sold the third of four races contested in the 2024 F1 Academy season. Bustamante and Pin completed the top-3 of the day.
